Water Pipes
Water Pipes are used to connect Water Pumps to machines that require water. They work similarly to Power Cables, but are used for water instead of power.
When looking at a Water Pipe, its respective network's usage and production will be displayed on your actionbar. This allows you to see how much water is being used compared to how much water is being generated.
When a water network is properly connected, the middle of the Water Pipe will be illuminated with a teal color. This signals that the pipe is connected to a valid water network.
Water Switches
Water Switches are used to dynamically connect and disconnect different parts of a water network. They allow you to control where water is being sent through your pipes.
Water Switches can be useful for setups where you only want certain machines to receive water at specific times. By using redstone, you can control whether water is allowed to pass through the switch.
When the Water Switch is active, water can flow through the connected pipes. When the Water Switch is inactive, the pipes on either side will not be connected through the switch.
Water Pumps
Water Pumps are used to generate water for your water network. A Water Pump must be placed directly above a water source block in order to function.
Once placed correctly, the Water Pump can be connected to machines using Water Pipes. Any machine that requires water must be connected to a network with enough water production.
Water Pumps require power in order to run. If a pump does not have enough power, it will not produce water for the network.
Water Pump Tiers
Water Pumps have three tiers. Higher-tier Water Pumps produce more water than lower-tier pumps, allowing them to support larger water networks.
Each tier also requires more power to keep running. Higher-tier pumps are useful for larger setups, but they will put more load on your power network.
Water Pump Recipe
Water Pumps can be crafted in the workbench. Every tier above Tier 1 requires the previous tier pump, as well as additional crafting components.
Water Pump Use
You can place as many Water Pumps as you want, but each pump still requires power to function. Your limit is based on how much power your island can provide.
Water Pumps can be placed anywhere on your island, as long as:
- They are placed directly above a water source block.
- They are properly connected using Water Pipes.
- They are connected to a powered network.
- The network has enough power to run them.
If your machines require water but your network is not producing enough, those machines will not function properly.
Sprinklers
Sprinklers are used to increase crop growth speed in the surrounding area. They are useful for improving farms and increasing crop production over time.
Sprinklers require both power and water in order to function. This means they must be connected to a powered network and a valid water network.
Sprinkler Tiers
Sprinklers have five tiers. Higher-tier Sprinklers have a larger radius, allowing them to affect crops from farther away.
Each tier also consumes more power and water. Higher-tier Sprinklers are useful for larger farms, but they require stronger power and water networks to keep running.
There is no set limit to how many Sprinklers you can place. However, placing too many Sprinklers without enough power or water may prevent parts of your setup from working properly.
Tips:
- Place Water Pumps above water source blocks before connecting them to machines.
- Use Water Pipes to connect pumps to any machines that require water.
- Use Water Switches to control which parts of your water network are active.
- Make sure your power network can support your Water Pumps and Sprinklers.
- Higher-tier Sprinklers are best used with stronger water and power production.
